Bathmaster Deltis Bathlift

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Bathmaster Deltis Bathlift?

The Bathmaster Deltis is a portable bath lift designed to make bathing easier for people who have difficulty lowering themselves into or getting back out of a bath. It provides a supportive seat that can be lowered for bathing and raised again when required.

Who is the Bathmaster Deltis Bathlift suitable for?

The Bathmaster Deltis may be suitable for people who can transfer safely onto a bath lift seat but find it difficult to lower themselves into the bath or rise again afterwards. Individual mobility, balance and transfer ability should be considered.

How does the Bathmaster Deltis Bathlift work?

The user transfers onto the bath lift seat and operates the lift to lower themselves into the bath. After bathing, the seat raises towards the top of the bath to make transferring out easier.

Can the Bathmaster Deltis help me get in and out of the bath?

Yes. Helping users lower themselves into and raise themselves out of the bath is the main purpose of the Bathmaster Deltis. The user must still be able to transfer safely between the bath lift and the surrounding surface, either independently or with appropriate assistance.

Is the Bathmaster Deltis portable?

Yes. The Bathmaster Deltis is part of a range of lightweight portable bath lifts, making it useful where the lift needs to be removed or stored rather than permanently installed.

Is the Bathmaster Deltis lightweight?

The Deltis is designed with portability in mind. If product weight is particularly important for a user or carer, check the current specification for the exact weight of the complete lift and its individual components.

Does the Bathmaster Deltis require permanent installation?

As a portable bath lift, the Bathmaster Deltis does not require the type of permanent installation associated with some fixed bathing systems. It must still be correctly positioned and secured according to the manufacturer's instructions before use.

Will the Bathmaster Deltis fit my bath?

Compatibility depends on the size, shape and internal dimensions of the bath. Compare the current Bathmaster Deltis dimensions and fitting requirements with your bath before purchasing.

How low does the Bathmaster Deltis go?

The Bathmaster Deltis is designed to lower the user into the bath for bathing. Check the current technical specification for the exact minimum seat height if bathing depth and immersion are important considerations.

How high does the Bathmaster Deltis raise?

The lift raises its seat towards the top of the bath to assist the user with transferring out. Refer to the current manufacturer's specification for the precise maximum seat height.

Is the Bathmaster Deltis battery powered?

Check the current Bathmaster Deltis specification for its battery, charging and control arrangements. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for charging and operation so the bath lift is ready when needed.

Can I use the Bathmaster Deltis independently?

Some users may be able to use the Deltis independently if they can safely transfer onto and off the seat, maintain a stable sitting position and operate the controls. Other users may require assistance from a carer.

Can a carer assist someone using the Bathmaster Deltis?

Yes, where appropriate. The level of assistance required depends on the user's mobility, balance and transfer requirements. Carers should follow the manufacturer's instructions and any relevant moving and handling plan.

What is the maximum user weight for the Bathmaster Deltis?

Always check the current manufacturer's specification for the maximum user weight or safe working load of the Bathmaster Deltis. Never exceed the stated limit.

What is the difference between a portable bath lift and an inflatable bathing cushion?

A portable bath lift typically uses a supportive seat that mechanically raises and lowers the user. An inflatable bathing cushion uses inflation and deflation to change the user's bathing height. The best option depends on transfers, posture, support requirements and preferred bathing position.

How do I know whether the Bathmaster Deltis is suitable for me?

Consider whether you can safely transfer onto and off the seat, maintain an appropriate sitting position and operate the controls. You should also check compatibility with your bath. An occupational therapist or other appropriate healthcare professional can provide advice where mobility or transfer requirements are more complex.

How should I clean the Bathmaster Deltis Bathlift?

Clean and maintain the Bathmaster Deltis according to the manufacturer's instructions. Regular cleaning and inspection, together with appropriate care of the battery and controls, will help keep the bath lift ready for use.
