The SEERS Sterling Changing Table is a robust, electrically height-adjustable changing table designed to provide a safe and practical support surface for routine changing procedures in special schools, specialist adult centres and other care environments.

Manufactured in the UK by SEERS Medical, the Sterling Changing Table combines a generous 200 kg safe working load, an excellent 46–99 cm height adjustment range and a choice of 152 cm or 184 cm table lengths.

The electrically operated height adjustment allows carers and support staff to position the table at a suitable working height, helping reduce the need for unnecessary bending during changing procedures. Its low 46 cm minimum height also provides easier access for transfers, while clearance beneath the frame allows compatible mobile hoists to be positioned where required.

With side support rails supplied as standard, four individually locking castors and a wide choice of upholstery colours, the Sterling provides a versatile changing solution for professional care, education and assisted-living environments.

Electric Height Adjustment from 46–99 cm

The Sterling Changing Table features an impressive 46 cm to 99 cm height adjustment range. Electric operation allows the working height to be adjusted using the hand switch supplied as standard.

For carers and support staff, this allows the table height to be adapted to the task being undertaken rather than requiring the individual to work repeatedly at a fixed height. At its lowest position of just 46 cm, the Sterling also provides a low transfer height for users.

200 kg Safe Working Load

Both versions of the Sterling Changing Table provide a substantial 200 kg safe working load and lifting capacity.

This robust capacity makes the table suitable for a broad range of users across paediatric and adult care environments, subject to individual assessment and appropriate moving and handling procedures.

Choice of Two Table Lengths

The SEERS Sterling Changing Table is available in two electrically operated sizes:

• SX1047 – 152 cm Electric Changing Table

A more compact model with a 152 cm long support surface, ideal where available room space is an important consideration.

• SX1057 – 184 cm Electric Changing Table

The longer 184 cm version provides additional support surface length for taller users.

Both versions feature the same 63 cm standard upholstery width and electric height adjustment.

Low Transfer Height

With a minimum platform height of 46 cm, the Sterling has been designed to provide a particularly low transfer position.

Lowering the table can make it easier to position alongside other equipment during suitable transfers and reduces the height of the support surface before the changing procedure begins. Once the user is safely positioned, the electric mechanism allows the table to be raised to a more suitable working height for the carer.

Clearance for Mobile Hoists

The frame has been specifically designed to provide clearance underneath for a mobile hoist. This is an important consideration in specialist changing environments where some users require hoisting for transfers.

Providing clear access beneath the table allows compatible mobile hoist legs to be positioned underneath the frame where the user's individual moving and handling plan requires this type of transfer. Compatibility between the changing table, hoist and transfer equipment should always be assessed before use.

Side Support Rails Supplied as Standard

Side support rails are fitted as standard on both Sterling Changing Table models.

The rails provide additional support along the sides of the changing surface and are an important practical feature when the table is used in professional care environments. The appropriate use of side support rails should always form part of the user's individual risk assessment and care plan.

Four Individually Locking Castors

The Sterling Changing Table is mounted on four 100 mm diameter castors. Each castor can be individually locked, providing mobility when the table needs to be repositioned and stability when it is ready for use. This makes it easier for staff to position the changing table appropriately within the room or move it when access is required for cleaning.
