Safe space beds, also known as enclosed safety beds, are specialised beds that provide a safe and secure sleeping environment for children and adults with special. sometimes very complex needs including autism, epilepsy, dementia or other challenging conditions. Safe space beds are designed to withstand rigorous physical, hygienic and structural wear and tear, while also ensuring the utmost comfort, safety and familiarity. Providing a secure and reassuring sleep environment can help with users with difficulty in regulating their sleep, in danger of wandering or who require sensory support.

Safe & Sound Sleep Pods came about many years ago when their founder Tom noticed that one of his coworkers was coming to work looking very tired from caring for her severely autistic child. After much tinkering and experimentation, Tom suceeded in building the first Safe & Sounds safe space bed. The positive effect that the new bed had on his coworker and her family was such that Tom decided that this was something that he should continue working on, and Safe & Sounds was born

Safe & Sound Sleep Pod

The Safe and Sound Pod from Creative Care is a complete safe, sleeping solution for children or young adults with sensory difficulties, autism or other behavioural needs.  Inside the pods there are no hard surfaces, no entrapment issues, no wood or metal catches to rattle, no foam padding held on with Velcro, even the door catches are designed to be non-hazardous and easy to clean.

The Complex Safe Space Pod from Creative Care offer all the key benefits of their Safe & Sound Model with additional features for users with more complex needs such as additional nursing access, medical equipment fitting etc

Travel Safe Space Sleep Pod

The Travel Pod from Creative Care is the complete sleeping solution for holidays, visits or temporary needs. Ideal for children or young adults with sensory difficulties, autism or other behavioural needs.  Fully enclosed, the Travel Pod offers the same peace of mind as our permanent Safe & Sound pods. Range of attractive designs all built around our light weight but super tough frame. 

Key features

• The travel pod packs down into small transport bags designed to fit between the wheel arches of even the smallest of cars like a Volkswagen Up!
• For travelling it packs in two transport bags which are just 28cm x 100cm long.
• Travel Pods can be taken on most aircraft free of charge if declared as medical equipment.
