The Uniscan Cadet is a simple, exceptionally lightweight walking frame designed for users who want reliable walking support without the bulk and weight of a larger rollator.
Ultra Lightweight 4.5kg Frame
The Cadet's most notable feature is its remarkably low frame weight 4.5kg / 10lb
This very low weight can make the Cadet easier to:

Narrow 23" Frame for Indoor Use
The Cadet measures just 23" / 584mm wide - this is 2" narrower than standard Uniscan models and is as an ideal walker for indoor use.
If the walker will be used indoors, we recommend checking doorway widths before ordering.
Built-In Folding Seat
The Cadet incorporates a folding rest seat, providing somewhere to sit when the user needs a break. This gives the Cadet an advantage over basic walking frames without seating while retaining its lightweight and compact design. The seat can be folded as part of the frame when the walker is being stored.
Please note the Cadet does not have a backrest so exercise caution when sitting.

We recommend selecting a seat height similar to a chair from which the user can comfortably sit down and stand up.
Adjustable Handle Heights
The handles are adjustable by the owner. Each Cadet provides three handle-height settings, with each position changing by 2" / 51mm. The first setting is always 10.5" / 267mm above the selected seat height.
We recommend positioning the handles approximately level with the user's wrist when standing naturally to walk.
Safety Pressure Brakes as Standard
The Cadet is supplied with Safety Pressure Brakes as standard. Rather than squeezing a hand lever, the user activates the brakes by applying downward pressure onto the frame, particular useful for those who have limited strength in their hands.
It is important to note that the brake remains engaged only while downward pressure continues to be applied to the frame.
Folds Flat for Storage
The Cadet folds flat to make storage more convenient. When folded, the frame depth reduces to approximately 10" / 254mm
This combines particularly well with its 4.5kg frame weight, making it a practical walking aid where storage space is limited.
Maximum User Weight
Despite its very lightweight construction, the Cadet supports users weighing up to 127kg / 20 stone.
