The eFOLDi Ultra Lightweight folding electric wheelchair is portable and weighs just 14.5kg (16.4kg including batteries). The eFOLDi Ultra is one of the lightest folding powerchair available on the market today and it is easy to lift into the boot of your car, store conveniently at home, or travel by plane / coach / bus / train. It offers excellent convenience and includes carer controls behind the user as standard. Typically it is used for trips to the shops, occasional travel use etc and can be lifted in and out of the car boot. The eFOLDi Ultra features a lightweight aluminium frame which is sturdy and rust resistant and helps you enjoy more freedom and convenience - without having to rely on others too much. It features dual control as standard which allows a carer or partner to control the powerchair from behind. The eFOLDi Ultra is perfect for taking trips to the shops and mall etc as it can be easily lifted in and out of the car boot. It is designed for use primarily indoors but can also be used outdoors to get from the car park etc. It is not designed for use over rough ground.  

The eFOLDi Ultra features 2 joysticks as standard. One at the front of the chair and one at the rear. This allows either the occupant or a caregiver the opportunity to control the wheelchair. This is particularly useful for caregivers who possibly lack strength and mobility and do not have the ability to to push the user over long distances or up a slope. The detachable batteries are easy to lift in and out and are airline approved. No tools are required at all to remove the batteries. Each battery is rated 125WH. Under existing regulations most airlines allow two such batteries on board as carry-on luggage, per passenger, without prior approval.This makes travelling with the wheelchair very easy. If you are travelling with a companion they can carry additional batteries if required. Only one battery is needed to operate the wheelchair. If it runs out, simply change to the other battery. The batteries are charged separately from the wheelchair. You can leave the wheelchair in the car and charge the battery in your house. Despite the light weight, the eFOLDi Ultra is powerful enough to brake on slopes and overcome road humps. The batteries are easily removed and approved for airline travel.
