Description
The longer version of the Immedia OneWayGlide Position Cushion; the added length of this version allows repositioning to be performed several times in one application, ideal for patients who are more prone to sliding. The long models of the OneWayGlide also feature handles that allow a carer to assist with positioning.
The Immedia Glide Cushion allows easy sliding in one direction, whilst resisting sliding in the other direction. The user stays in a correct seating position and stops accidental movement. This reduces shear and friction, which can cause sores and pressure injuries. There is also a risk of this when a patient is being manually handled by a carer and the OneWayGlide helps to prevent that as well.
This product is designed to prevent patients sliding forward while sitting, as well as facilitating backwards movement in a chair. It is ideal for use when the patient needs repositioning repeatedly, and can be used independently or with a carer. Please note that, due to the velour top, this pad must be used on a textile surface.
