Uniscan Grand Glider Plus Adjustable Bariatric Rollator

The Uniscan Grand Glider Plus Adjustable is Uniscan's heavy-duty walking frame, developed specifically to provide greater strength and additional seating space for larger users. Based on the popular Glider Plus Adjustable, the Grand retains many of its practical everyday features but incorporates a stronger, wider frame capable of supporting users weighing up to 254kg / 40 stone.

Lightweight 7.4kg Bariatric Walking Frame

Heavy-duty mobility equipment can often be difficult to handle because of its additional weight. The Grand Glider Plus is different with a frame weight of just 7.4kg / 16lb.  For a walking aid capable of supporting up to 254kg, this makes the Grand particularly attractive where both high user capacity and manageable frame weight are important.

Extra Wide 29" Frame

The Grand has an overall open frame width of 29" / 737mm. The additional width provides more room for larger-framed users when walking and sitting.

Because of the 737mm overall width, we strongly recommend checking doorways and other access points before ordering if the walker will be used indoors.

Built-In Rest Seat

The Grand incorporates a built-in rest seat, allowing the user to stop and sit when required. The wider frame provides additional seating room compared with Uniscan's standard-width walkers and offer a comfy 21" / 54cm maximum hip width when seated. This makes it particularly suitable for larger-framed users who may find standard rollator seating restrictive.

Adjustable Handle Height

The handles can be adjusted by the owner through three different height settings, with 2" intervals. We recommend the handles are approximately level with the user's wrist when standing in their normal walking position.

Supportive Backrest

A backrest is included as one of the Grand Glider Plus's standard features, providing additional support when the user stops to sit.

This helps make the built-in seat more comfortable for rest periods and is one of the features Uniscan specifically highlights on the current Grand product page.

Under-Seat Shopping Caddy

An under-seat shopping caddy is included as standard. This provides convenient storage for smaller belongings while keeping the user's hands free for operating the walking frame.

Walking Stick Holder Included

A walking stick holder is fitted as standard, allowing a stick to be carried with the walker when it isn't being used.

Folds for Storage & Transportation

Despite its extra-wide heavy-duty construction, the Grand folds for easier storage and transportation. When folded, its depth reduces to approximately 11" / 279mm This can make the walker easier to accommodate when stored at home or transported in a suitable vehicle.
