Description
The Burnett ReMould™ Back & Side Bathing Support (BS1103) provides lateral support as well as back and head.This support can be used in three ways; either as a back and neck rest with side lobes supporting the hips, or with the side lobes placed on either side of the thorax. The backrest can be used as a head support allowing the user to lie fully reclined. This support can also be used for taller clients whose feet are wedged at the end of the bath. A padded lap strap and buckle (BS1189) can be purchased as an additional item if needed. A pair of bath pads (BS1353) can be purchased as an additional item which stick on and can be positioned at any point in the bath surface to prevent the user where there is the possibility of involuntary movements causing injury or where limbs are causing pressure. A hand pump (BS1178) or foot pump (BS1179) is required to crate the vacuum effect. Both pumps are compatible however we would recommend a foot pump (BS1179).

The Burnett Vacuum Support System consists of a sealed casing appliance of flexible Polyurethane material which is high frequency welded and filled with thousands of flame retardant polystyrene micro beads. The system is designed to provide comfortable support by moulding the beads (with air present) to the profile of the user, which creates a custom intimate mould.Extracting the air from the system causes the casing to contract and the beads static nature brings them together to form a mould. By introducing air back into the system the Burnett is able to adapt over time to any changes in profile. The Burnett Vacuum Support System is a flexible and highly adaptable solution to meet the postural needs of both adults and children. Burnett’s are designed to provide comfortable postural support to the user within the seating area required. As it is not a fixed mould, it is able to adapt to the users changes easily. All of our supports are manufactured in a sealed hygienic material and can be used for more than one user. Standards products are available alongside a completely bespoke design and manufacturing service.
