The Easy Rider tricycle for adults is clearly different from other tricycles. It has a unique frame with low step through and a stable lower sitting position.The low centre of gravity, seating with a back support and steering in front give the rider a safe and secure feeling. The seat height and seat angle are adjustable. The forward pedalling motion and the frame suspension ensure a perfectly comfortable ride. Pedal Support information
In addition to many accessories, an Easy Rider can also be upgraded with pedal support. Van Raam's electric pedal support system is called the Silent System. The motor, the batteries, the controller, the software and the Smart display have all been developed for and by Van Raam itself. The pedal support is easy to operate via the display on the handlebar of your Easy Rider. This display has an on/off button, assistance setting 1 (eco mode), assistance setting 2 (comfort mode), assistance setting 3 (sport mode) and a starting aid (the bike symbol). With the starting aid, the engine gives you extra support for 10 seconds so that you can easily cycle away from a stop. A unique feature of the pedal support is that it is possible to cycle backwards when the support is switched on. This allows you to turn around easily and safely. Colour information
The Easy Rider has the standard color 'ocean green', in addition to that colour the designers at Van Raam have selected a number of other colors that they think fit the Easy Rider nicely and well. It may be that you like this colour, or one of the other suggested colours, but it is also possible that you want an Easy Rider in a colour of your choice - just call us on 028 92 67 70 77 to discuss your preferences before ordering.
Easy Rider with reinforced, extended or divisible frame
The standard frame of the Easy Rider may not be suitable for you. It is therefore possible to order an Easy Rider with a reinforced, extended or divisible frame. The maximum weight on a 'standard' Easy Rider frame is 120 kilograms, but it is possible to reinforce the frame of the tricycle to 150 kilograms with a maximum of 180 kilograms. The Easy Rider also offers the option of an XL seat, should the current seat be too small. If you feel that you are too long for the Easy Rider, it is also possible to opt for an extended bicycle frame. The Easy Rider will then be 15 centimetres longer. With a divisible frame, the front part of the Easy Rider can be disconnected from the rest. In this way, the bike takes up less space and can be taken along more easily on a holiday, for example.
Easy Rider with shoulder control
A special accessory for the Easy Rider is shoulder control. This option is only possible for the tricycles Easy Rider and the Easy Rider Junior. An example of someone who has an Easy Rider with shoulder control is Chelsea Zijlstra. Chelsea has progressive spinal muscular atrophy (PSMA) and was looking for a bike where she does not have to use her arms to steer. Van Raam developed the Easy Rider tricycle with shoulder control for people who don't have arms or can't use them. The steering is done with your torso/shoulders and the shifting is done with your feet.
