The FOLDACHAIR® PRO is an automatic folding electric wheelchair and is very simple to use and operate via the handy key fob.  This automatic folding powerchair model folds in literally a few seconds at the touch of a button, making it so much easier to fold than other folding electric wheelchairs on the market. This means you do not have to bend down or crouch to open or close it so is particularly useful for those with restrictions in their movement. It can then be placed into the boot of your car or stored anywhere around your home as required.  FOLDACHAIR® PRO has an 18" wide seat and the maximum user weight is 150kg / 23.5 stone.

FOLDACHAIR® PRO is equipped with a 24 V 20 Ah ( 480 Wh) lithium Ion battery pack.   As it is over 300 Wh it is not approved for airline travel. However an optional 216Wh travel battery is available to order in addition to the standard battery pack.   As the travel battery is more than half the power of the standard battery, the range of the FOLDACHAIR® PRO is signifiicanly reduced so will need to be charged more frequently. The travel battery pack replaces the original battery pack and can be fitted without the need for tools and can be fitted in a few minutes.   Depending on your mobility and ease with assembling items, you might need to get a friend to help with the removal of the standard pack and fitting the travel pack prior to travelling. We recommend you purchase a suitable power invertor whch will allow you to charge your FOLDACHAIR® Pro whilst travelling.

RO when travelling by car as it is not possible to fold the chair manually whenever the battery runs out unless you have tools to remove the electric actuator.

In the event your battery discharges completly you simply then need to connect the charger to the in-car invertor and let it trickle charge just enough to allow it to close.  You can then charge fully from mains supply when you return home.
