Reviews
You need to check the bolts holding the front wheels for tightness regularly, tend to loosen off. The front wheels take all the stress from badly lowered pavements and if you venture off road. The pavements in Edinburgh are in an even worse state than the roads. Due to the front wheels being like shopping trolly wheels, you need to be very aware of car runins which produce a slope which , can, if you are not careful shoot you into on coming traffic.
I have not tested the 9 mile claim for the battery range. In the summer on perfectly flat, smooth tarmac, possibly. Went for a spin on a flat promenade ,temp. Of 2 degrees, went 2 1/2 miles. Just got back to the car. Possibly more to do with the ability of the battery to give out continual power. Stop for a minute and the power seems to come back.
Lack of indication of distance left, a worry.
Overall I am glad I got it otherwise I would be stuck in the house. Going on and off Edinburgh buses , very easy and the the drivers are very good and welcoming. Sometimes pavement crossings have not been lowered but there is usually a different route.
I have not looked closely at other makes but this one seems light and strongly made.
