Description
Yomper+ provides electric assistance for rigid or foldable manual wheelchairs reducing risk of shoulder joint damage from prolonged use of a manual self propelling chair. According to clinical studies, 30-73% of manual wheelchair users suffer from shoulder pain. The Yomper+ electric motor has a freewheel and does not restrict with your movements, whatever the terrain you are on. Unlike other similiar powerpacks, its unique central position guarantees friction-free rolling. Aligned in the axis of your wheelchair, the Yomper+ powerpack is discreet and very easily overlooked. Off or on, you won't notice any difference in your movement… Except for for the power assistance!
Easy to use, Yomper+ is controlled by its EasyGo box which ensures effortless propulsion even from a stationary start. The discreet Easygo+ controller can either be strapped to your leg or fitted to your wheelchair frame and providing dynamic and effortless driving. You will be able to tackle more terrain that was previously inaccessible to you: slopes, grass or even gravel. In our opinion Yomper+ performs better on gravel and grass than Smartdrive MX2 thanks to its positioning in line with self propelled wheels and its larger drive wheel.
Programmable via its EasyGo box, the Yomper+ power pack lets you configure up to 10 different speed settings. It offers 2 modes (indoor/outdoor) with 5 speeds each. The user can deactivate the electric motor either by the EasyGo box or directly by the chair's handrims if in the indoor mode. Yomper+ lets you climb hills without problems; you can relax entirely and let Yomper take all the effort powering you up hills so you only have to steer your chair with the handrims. Thanks to its raised handle, the Yomper+ easily clips onto its stand (supplied as standard). Its small front wheels are there to help you slide it under your wheelchair in no time.
Lightweight the Yomper+ weighs only 5.8kg. It is easy to transport, clipped onto your wheelchair (foldable or rigid) as well as in your car boot or in your suitcase for a trip. The Yomper+ is flight friendly too - see the flight safe battery certificate in the downloads tab

Better than Smartdrive !

This is a fantastic bit of kit; i owned a Smartdrive MX2 before and have had to replace the Rollers twice at significant cost; Smartdrive simply doesnt work over rough ground as it destroys the rollers. The Yomper has a proper wheel which means it works better over rougher terrain. The Smartdrive sits out behind you like a tail whereras the Yomper sits right in the middle of your chair between the 2 wheels giving better centre of balance and you don't have to worry about bashing people and things when turning 180 degrees. Yom,per is built a bit heavier than Smartdrive but it will out perform SmartDrive MX2 over uneven ground every time.
