Airline approved mobility scooters - find out what mobility scooter you can take on a plane

The general rule of thumb is that the battery of the mobility scooter cannot exceed 300 Wh. This is calculated by multiplying the volts by the amps but the model specification should clearly state the Wh rating in any case. This is a question we get asked almost every day so we have listed below our models of folding mobility scooters that are airline approved. All of our models come supplied with a battery certificate which you will need to print off and bring with you any time you are travelling through an airport. We also do strongly advise that you refer to your airlines website in regards to travelling with your mobility scooter. Different airlines do have different policies and the process of storing your scooter and battery will vary from airport to airport and be different with each airline. In most airports, you will be allowed to drive on your mobility scooter through the airport and gate for your flight. Normally you are met by an airport representative prior to boarding the plane where your scooter is placed in 'Special Luggage' in the hold. When you arrive, an airport representative will meet you and return your scooter to you.
