Genny the Self Balancing Electric Wheelchair

Genny Mobility have created medical devices to aid individuals with disabilities to move safety in all kinds of terrains. The electric power wheelchairs have a self-balancing base that has been created to ensure immediate rotations on the same axis without the need to operate control levers including accelerators or brakes. The self-balancing system encourages continuous movement of the postural muscles, and it offers patients the chance to control and maintain good posture in a seated position.

Designed by Paola Badano Genny™ operates using the upper body. If the individual leans forward the Genny will move forward, if the individual leans back they will slow down.

Traditional manual wheelchairs users are confronted with many daily difficulties, including the need to use both hands. Genny Mobility immediately solves all these issues and any concerns around bad weather. Both the Genny Urban and the Genny XR allow users to deal with slippery grounds and challenging slopes, which would usually entail considerable risks in a manual wheelchair.

NB: As of Q2 2023, the Genny Urban and Genny XR have been discontinued. The new model Genny Zero will launch in 2025
