Birthing Sling

A soft mesh fabric with large holes allows for quick drainage of water. Designed to quickly evacuate an end user from the pool should an emergency situation arise. The Silva™ Birthing sling manual version is manufactured in a soft mesh fabric with large holes that allow for easy drainage of water from the sling. It has four colour coded grab handles either side of the sling for ease of identification and positioning.

The sling can be easily introduced when needed for a quick and easy evacuation from the pool should an emergency situation arise. Floatation noodles are available to purchase as an optional extra. These noodles assist with bouyancy of the mother and can be positioned behind the knees and behind the neck and allow for easier introduction of the sling. This product can also be used for an emergency evacuation from a hydrotherapy pool as well.

A free instructional DVD by independent waterbirth specialist Diane Garland is supplied with each purchase of the Silva™ Birthing sling. Please note that this is a manual transferring aid and correct moving and handling practices should be followed. If in any doubt contact your moving and handling advisor.
