ATTO SPORT MAX Folding Mobility Scooter

The Movinglife ATTO SPORT MAX is a premium folding mobility scooter designed to provide the portability of the ATTO range with an increased 136 kg / 21.4 stone maximum user weight.

Developed for users who require additional strength and stability without giving up the convenience of a compact travel scooter, the SPORT MAX combines a reinforced design with heavy-duty shock-absorbing puncture-proof tyres, advanced braking, generous legroom and the ATTO's innovative folding and splitting system.

When the journey is over, the scooter folds into a compact suitcase-style package and can be wheeled in Trolley Mode. It can also separate into two sections weighing approximately 12.5 kg and 17.5 kg, helping make loading into a suitable vehicle more manageable.

With a 4 mph maximum speed, up to 11 miles range with the standard flight-approved battery and up to 20 miles with the optional XL battery, the ATTO SPORT MAX combines everyday mobility with excellent travel versatility.

Increased 136 kg / 21.4 Stone User Capacity

The defining difference between the ATTO SPORT MAX and other ATTO models is its increased user capacity supporting users u up to 136 kg / 300 lb / approximately 21.4 stone.

By comparison, the current ATTO Classic and ATTO SPORT comparison specifications give a maximum user weight of 120 kg. The SPORT MAX is therefore designed for users who require the portability of an ATTO but fall outside the weight limit of the standard models.

Compact Folding Design

Despite its increased user capacity, the SPORT MAX retains the innovative folding system that makes the ATTO range particularly useful for travel. One features across all ATTO models is the ability to fold and unfold in approximately 10 seconds. Once folded, it becomes a compact suitcase-style package that can be stored at home or transported in a suitable car.

Four Modes for Everyday Travel

The ATTO concept provides four useful configurations:

• Drive Mode – fully opened and ready to drive.
• Compact Mode – folded down for storage.
• Split Mode – separated into two lighter sections for lifting.
• Trolley Mode – folded and wheeled along in a similar way to rolling luggage.

This versatility is one of the biggest advantages of the SPORT MAX compared with more conventional mobility scooters.

Splits into Two Lighter Sections

The ATTO SPORT MAX can be separated into two main sections.

Movinglife's current support information specifies:

• Front section: 12.5 kg
• Rear section: 17.5 kg
• Assembled scooter: 30 kg excluding battery
• Battery: approximately 1.8–1.85 kg.

The heaviest individual scooter section is therefore approximately 17.5 kg. This can make car loading considerably easier than attempting to lift the complete scooter, although appropriate manual-handling considerations still apply.

Trolley Mode for Easier Transportation

Once folded, the SPORT MAX can be wheeled along in Trolley Mode rather than carried.

Movinglife lists its Trolley Mode dimensions as approximately:

This compact format is particularly useful when moving through airports, stations, hotels, cruise terminals and other travel environments.

4 mph Maximum Speed

Movinglife's current support information and model comparison both specify a maximum speed of 4 mph / 6.4 km/h.

The SPORT MAX therefore differs from the standard ATTO SPORT, which has a higher manufacturer-stated maximum speed. The SPORT MAX prioritises higher user capacity and stability, whereas the SPORT is positioned as the faster ATTO model.

Up to 11 Miles Standard Range

The standard 48V lithium-ion battery provides a manufacturer-stated maximum range of approximately 11 miles / 17.7 km.

Actual range will vary according to user weight, terrain, gradients, temperature, battery condition, tyre condition and driving style.

Optional XL Battery – Up to 20 Miles

Looking to go further? Choose the optional XL battery providing up to 20 miles range. This can be particularly useful for longer days out where the standard 11-mile range may not be sufficient. Please note the XL battery is NOT flight approved. Actual range will vary according to user weight, terrain, gradients, temperature, battery condition, tyre condition and driving style.

Flight-Approved Standard Lithium Battery

The standard SPORT MAX battery is a 48V lithium-ion battery with approximately 250Wh capacity. The standard battery flight certified/flight approved, supporting the SPORT MAX's role as a travel mobility scooter.

Airlines and other transport providers can impose their own requirements for mobility equipment and lithium batteries. Customers should therefore obtain approval directly from their airline before travelling.

On-Board and Off-Board Charging

The removable standard battery can be charged either on the scooter or separately from the scooter with an average full charging time of approximately 4 hours. Off-board charging is particularly useful when the scooter itself is stored somewhere without convenient access to a power socket.

Heavy-Duty Shock-Absorbing Tyres

The SPORT MAX uses 9-inch airless, heavy-duty, shock-absorbing and puncture-proof tyres. The enhanced tyres are one of the features Movinglife highlights when differentiating the SPORT MAX from the standard ATTO. They provide additional ride comfort while avoiding the puncture risk associated with conventional pneumatic tyres.

Enhanced Stability

The SPORT MAX has been specifically developed to provide additional stability for its increased user capacity. The SPORT MAX uses the distinctive three-wheel ATTO layout but incorporates design features intended to improve stability with a triangular wheelbase, extended rear wheels and centred seating position working together to maintain balance and reduce tipping risk.

12 cm Ground Clearance

Movinglife lists approximately 12 cm / 4–4.5 inches ground clearance. Combined with its 9-inch shock-absorbing tyres, this gives the SPORT MAX useful outdoor capability for a highly portable scooter.

It remains a folding travel scooter rather than a specialist off-road mobility scooter, so very rough, loose or otherwise unsuitable terrain should be avoided.

Advanced Braking

The SPORT MAX incorporates several braking technologies.

Adjustable Seat Height

The seat height can be adjusted to help accommodate different users. Combined with the scooter's generous legroom and adjustable tiller, this allows the driving position to be configured more appropriately for the individual.

Generous Legroom

Movinglife specifically promotes the ATTO design as providing ample legroom for taller users. This can be important for customers who find smaller travel scooters restrictive around the knees and legs.

Adjustable Tiller

The ATTO SPORT MAX allows adjustment of both the height and angle of the tiller. This enables the handlebar and controls to be positioned according to the user's reach and preferred driving position.

LCD Display

An illuminated LCD control panel provides important information while driving.

Note on Speed -  In the UK, class 2 scooters can be used in pedestrian zones, footpaths and public spaces provided speed does not exceed 4 MPH.  We recommend much lower speeds when used in busy areas and indoors.  The max speed setting of 6 mph can only be used on private land in the UK. Check maximum speeds when travelling abroad as these may vary from country to country.  Atto Sport is not designed for road use.
