How Does the RS4 Patient Transfer Assist Work?

The RS4 is positioned in front of a suitable seated user.

Its opening leg mechanism allows the base to be positioned around compatible seating, while the user places their feet onto the standing platform and uses the frame for support.

The user then rises from sitting into a standing position.

Once safely standing, the flip-down support pads can be brought into position behind the user to provide additional support while the carer manoeuvres the RS4 to the destination surface.

The support pads are then moved out of the way before the user is assisted back into the seated position.

The appropriate technique should always be determined through an individual moving and handling assessment.
