Rotunda transfer platform is used for transferring patients whose mobility is impaired between beds, chairs and wheelchairs. The Rotunda Transfer Platform reduces the physical strain that is placed on nurses and carers when supporting or turning movements must be performed. The turntable platform feature of the Rotunda Transfer Platform moves on high quality nickel, chrome, steel ball bearings and can be swiveled between five different positions, with locking device to hold it securely in place. It is also tilt-free and stable in operation. The nylon wheels of the Rotunda Transfer Platform makes manoeuvring easy and the steel frame is covered in a tough white coating making this a durable and functional transfer aid. The Rotunda Transfer Platform is made of steel and has a maximum user weight of 250kg.
The Rotunda is not designed for patient transportation. Patients must be able to weight bear; pre-assessment required before use.
