The Kera Sit2Sit is an innovative, fully manual patient transfer hoist designed to enable a single caregiver to transfer a person safely and comfortably from one seated position to another without requiring the user to stand.
Unlike conventional sit-to-stand transfer aids, the Kera does not rely on the user having sufficient leg strength, standing balance or the ability to pull themselves upright. Its unique Chestpad and Backstrap combination supports the user's upper body, allowing people with very limited or no standing strength to be transferred between suitable seated surfaces.

How Does the Kera Sit2Sit Work?
- The Kera is positioned around the user's existing seat and the Chestpad is positioned appropriately against the upper body.
- The Backstrap slides behind the user and works together with the Chestpad to provide secure upper-body support.
- The caregiver then operates the long mechanical handle. The leverage created by the handle raises the user's seated position sufficiently to clear the original chair without requiring them to stand.
- Once the castors have cleared the chair, the caregiver can release the brake, close the base legs and manoeuvre the Kera towards the destination seat.

Kera Sit2Sit vs a Standing Transfer Aid
A conventional active transfer aid generally requires the user to:
