We provide a range of equipment for Disability sport in schools throughout Northern Ireland.

We believe that everyone should have access to activities and sports no matter their disability.

Children and young adults spend the majority of their time in school and college and it is extremely important that every student has equal opportunity to get involved in sports activities such as sports day and P.E class.

There are a wide range of sports clubs in Northern Ireland that are wheelchair friendly and suitable for those with any disability ensuring everyone has equal access to the sports they love.

Disability Sports NI are an excellent charity and work closely with these clubs to ensure everyone can take part in activities no matter their disability.

They run a range of sports such as;

Basketball - The Knights basketball club takes place in various parts of NI - Antrim Forum Sports Centre, Lough Rd, Antrim and The Hammer Youth Centre, Agnes Street, Belfast. Weekly training sessions take place throughout Sept-May.

RugbyNorthern Ireland's wheelchair rugby team, Ulster Barbarians, was set up in 2013 and compete in Irish league. Training sessions take place on Monday nights at the Loughside Recreation centre from 6.30-8.30pm.

GAABoth wheelchair hurling and football teams are set up in conjuction with Disability Sports NI. There are wheelchair hurling teams across the county including Belfast, Fermanagh and University of Ulster Magee. Gaelic Football teams are also set up with coaching sessions across schools and community clubs for those with medium to severe learning disabilities. Demonstrations take place every year at the Ulster Senior Championships.

TennisThere are opportunities for those who are interested in wheelchair tennis and table tennis. Wheelchair tennis training sessions take place at the Ozone Indoor Tennis Arena and there are tournaments that run each year including the Belfast Wheelchair Tennis Tournament.

Disability Sport NI also run the excellent Wheelie Active Club at Belvoir Activity Centre in Belfast. Suitable for ages 5 - 16 with a physical disability who would like to try some new sports and be involved in great activities. This commences on 7th November and runs for 7 weeks.
