Field Support Engineer – based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland
Job Summary:
As a Field Support Engineer your objective will be to provide support and assistance to our extensive customer base and our field-based sales team. The successful candidate will undertake an offsite callout service in order to diagnose faults, conduct repairs, basic installations and modifications and adaptations to a wide variety of medical and mobility equipment such as manual and electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters , Electric riser recliners, paediatric & special needs equipment and trikes, handcycles, dynamic mattress and electric profiling beds as well and providing a collection and delivery service for the Sales Team as required.
You will provide a professional, friendly and high level of service to our customers and promote John Preston & Company in a positive manner at all times. Offsite visits will be to a variety of sites across the island of Ireland including hospitals, schools, nursing homes, clinics and private residences.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct first level fault finding diagnosis on powered wheelchairs, Electric riser Recliner chairs, Mobility Scooters, special needs trikes, Handcycles , walkers, physiotherapy equipment etc
• Conduct Repairs, Modifications, Deliveries, Collections and Handovers of medical equipment e.g. wheelchairs, Riser Recliners, mobility scooters etc
• Undertake Routine and preventative equipment maintenance.
• Participation in overhead track hoist and stairlift surveys and installations.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is completely accurately
• Ensure all equipment is labelled clearly at all times
• Report all issues, adverse situations and product feedback to your line manager
• Treating all customers with patience, respect and be aware that many of our customers are disabled or have learning difficulties and require clear communications.
• Develop good working relationships with other staff.
